Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes is often seen as the black sheep of the Bible. The message seems so cynical and negative that many have assumed that most of the book is simply a description of life under the sun, which is the wrong way to look at life. But the closing statement of the book affirms that the writer is a faithful, reliable teacher of wisdom and all that is in the book is true. Ecclesiastes is a book about joy – how to enjoy life in a fallen, cursed world by fearing God and living for His pleasure.
